#TalentiUniSR: Andrea Vanzulli

An unassailable determination that will lead him overseas: Andrea Vanzulli is the #TalentiUniSR of the month. Currently a student in his fourth year of the Medical Degree Program at UniSR, Andrea has won the prestigious Armenise-Harvard Summer Fellowship, a research program which provides Italian students enrolled in the fourth or fifth year of a scientific degree with the chance to carry out research at Harvard Medical School in Boston. “I have been attending Professor Naldini’s laboratory for a long time because I am firmly convinced that modern medicine must stem from basic and translational research”. His activity in Boston will focus on the fundamental biology of the haematopoietic system in the laboratory led by Prof. David Scadden, the onco-haematologist Andrea had indicated as his first choice in his application. “Beyond victory per se, it is a source of immense pride that eminent Scientists such as Proff. Naldini1 and Iannacone2 believed in me and supported me throughout the whole course”.
